Scuola Calcio & Pre-Travel Program

The grassroots Scuola Calcio & Pre-Travel Program remains the foundation of the Brooklyn Italians player pathway. In strategic partnership with the Federation of Italian American Organizations (FIAO), this phase emphasizes technical development, confidence, and a love of the game—delivered in a fun, structured environment by a highly trained coaching staff at conveniently located, modern facilities throughout the year.

New York Red Bulls Academy Program (Ages U7-U12)

Players identified through a competitive tryout process led by the club's Director of Coaching advance into the New York Red Bulls Academy Program. Accomplished New York Red Bulls coaches lead this exclusive phase and focus on the development of U7–U12 players through high-intensity training, technical and tactical instruction, goalkeeper training, conditioning programs, Red Bulls RDS sessions, as well as participation in the most competitive regional leagues (EDP, CJSL, Girls City) and select travel tournaments.

Brooklyn Italians Academy – Elite Pathway (Ages U13-U18)

This phase represents the core competitive and developmental pathway for Brooklyn Italians players ages 12–17. Led by the club’s Technical Director and most experienced and qualified coaching staff, players are selected for highly competitive U13–U18 teams competing in elite leagues such as ECNL and USL as well as top-level invitational tournaments. The program includes consistent exposure to high-level competition, advanced development standards, as well as access to optional college guidance and recruitment support programs that assist with academic alignment, eligibility requirements, exposure opportunities, and placement pathways.

USL Academy League

At the top of the pathway, selected players compete in the USL Academy League, preparing for collegiate and professional opportunities. Players also benefit from professional development pathways through New York Red Bulls, Cesena FC, and Brooklyn FC, ensuring each athlete is supported in reaching their full potential both on and off the field.
