The Brooklyn Italians Soccer Club are delighted to announce a partnership with Chievo Verona from Serie A, Italy’s top flight.
“Chievo are making a big effort to actively identify, recruit, train, and then get an American player into their first team,” said Dominic Casciato, Brooklyn Italians Director of Coaching.
“When they approached us through GIS with their vision for the future, it was an easy decision to make given our roots as an Italian-American club. They are committed to working with us as a partner club and we will benefit a lot from working alongside them and sharing ideas. Their residency program for international players is a fantastic opportunity for young players in America to take advantage of, so we are delighted to be able to offer such a unique option to all players in the tri-state area.”
The partnership will consist of coaching study visits between the staff of both clubs, the sharing of curriculums and best coaching practice, along with a camp held in Brooklyn each year to identify talented American players in the tri-state area. The camp is open to all players in the North-East, not just Brooklyn Italians players.
